چکیده
We explored the possibility of Pr-Fe-B and (Pr0.75Ce0.25)-Fe-B based hot-deformed magnets as magnetic field source for cryogenic refrigeration. Thanks to elimination spin reorientation effect in rare earth (RE)-Fe-B system, magnet shows a large remanence µ0Mr = 1.75 T with coercivity 7.4 at 20 K. To our surprise, even higher 1.76 4.8 The measured maximum energy product anisotropic is 612 kJ/m3 K, demonstrating their potential low-cost permanent applications.

Assessment of corrosion resistance of Nd–Fe–B magnets by silanization for orthodontic applications
Nd–Fe–B permanent magnets are characterised by excellent magnetic properties. However, being extremely vulnerable to the attack of both climate and corrosive environments, their applications are limited. This paper describes how, at different thicknesses of N-propyl-trimetoxy-silane, the coating affects the magnetic force of nickel plated magnets. We also investigate if the corrosion resistance...
متن کاملImpulse Magnetization of Nd-Fe-B Sintered Magnets for Sensors
Magnetization of large Nd-Fe-B sintered permanent magnets is still challenging. This type of permanent magnet is electrically conductive, so impulse magnetization causes a flow of eddy currents which prevent magnetization of the whole volume of the magnet. The paper deals with the impulse magnetization of sintered Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets and shows a method for the determination of suitable pa...
متن کاملModelling of the material flow of Nd-Fe-B magnets under high temperature deformation via finite element simulation method
Hot deformation of Nd-Fe-B magnets has been studied for more than three decades. With a good combination of forming processing parameters, the remanence and (BH)max values of Nd-Fe-B magnets could be greatly increased due to the formation of anisotropic microstructures during hot deformation. In this work, a methodology is proposed for visualizing the material flow in hot-deformed Nd-Fe-B magne...
متن کاملRadiation-Induced Demagnetization of Nd-Fe-B Permanent Magnets
Introduction The Advanced Photon Source (APS), as well as other third-generation synchrotron light sources, uses permanent magnets in the insertion devices to produce x-rays for scientific research [1,2]. When placed in a high-energy storage ring, these permanent magnets are subjected to irradiation from synchrotron radiation, high-energy bremsstrahlung, and bremsstrahlung-produced neutrons. Pr...
